From Shared Roots to a Canadian Dream
LA FRU TEA was born from friendship, shared roots, and a love for simple, honest ingredients.
Alex and Maryna come from two different regions of Ukraine, but they shared similar values — a deep appreciation for simplicity, quality, and products made with intention. From an early age, they were drawn to natural ingredients and mindful choices that felt honest, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared.
Life eventually brought them both to Toronto, Canada. They met as colleagues working at the same company, navigating a new city, a new culture, and the rhythm of everyday life. What started as casual coffee and lunch breaks between tasks soon turned into meaningful conversations about wellness, balance, and the small rituals that bring comfort during busy days.
Over time, they realized they wanted everything they loved in one place — premium loose-leaf teas, vibrant freeze-dried fruits, calming bath tea bags, and wholesome snacks made from real, natural ingredients. Products designed not just to consume, but to create small, meaningful rituals throughout the day.

Amid the fast pace of Toronto, Alex and Maryna found common ground in their passion for wellness and intentional living. They dreamed of creating a brand that reflected who they are today — rooted in strong values, shaped by Canadian quality standards, and focused on balance, transparency, and care.
